The Leksell Gamma Knife Society held its 15th International Meeting during May 16-20, 2010 in Athens, Greece. Our Neurosurgeon in charge, Dr. CP Yu, gave three presentations about Stereotactic Radiosurgery during the meeting. He was interviewed about one of his topics, namely combined open surgery and Gamma Knife surgery, performed by the same doctor. The Brain Centre is one of the few Gamma Knife Centres in the world that provides this type of surgery performed by the same doctor.

Have a look at the interview here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUV7E0qZ7ok

Our Neurologist in charge, Dr Robert T.K. Ho gave a presentation on the long term clinical results of Gamma Knife radiosurgery for the treatment of Trigeminal Neuralgia and commented on the improved utility of the new Perfexion.

Presentations were also given by our physicist, Mr. Ben Ng and our specialist nurse Miss Josie Chan, as well as by Dr. T.L. Poon and specialist nurse Miss Erica Ho from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Gamma Knife team.

For full details on their topics of the presentation please go to section on “Links and Publications” and look under Publications.
